                                                               About Us

We are a gathering of believers who worship together and
seek to follow God's word in the power of the Holy Spirit.

First Baptist is a close-knit, downtown church located in the center of a large New Hampshire town.  We welcome new members with open arms and maintain intimate relationships among members.  As a result, we have a congregation made of a blend of people from across the country and from many different denominations.  Although our building is a traditional white clapboard church, we have adequate parking and an attractive campus.

Members of FBC tend to be very active in the church.  Monthly greeters, worship leaders, and ushers are designated from the congregation on a rotational basis.

Currently we offer Sunday School for all ages, infants through adults.  We have an active music program, including childrens, adult, and our Christmas Eve Cantata choir that is made of community members. We participate frequently with other area Christian churches in outreach activities.   Our First Baptist Church Community Food Pantry, the fourth largest in NH, provides us with outreach ties.  The Sonshine Soup Kitchen, housed in our church serves meals five days a week.

“The Roman Road” - a simple roadmap to a personal relationship with Jesus.

Romans 3:23: for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.
Romans 6:23: For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Jesus Christ our Lord.
Romans 5:8: But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Romans 10:9-10: That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.

If you have never made a personal commitment to Jesus we encourage you to invite God into your life today and share your story with a friend or pastor.
